Do you have any current information concerning these windows? I have more than 50 mw windows in my home; the casements on the front have been replaced with new mw casements and they are AGAIN LEAKING WATER INTO MY WALLS!!! The other windows leak water and let dirt and dust blow in when there is any wind at all! I am at my wits end!

I have the casement, vinyl-clad wood windows that were installed in 1998. Of my 30 windows, about 25 of these were replaced at 5 years due to leaking/rot. Warranty covered this, but I guess I'm on my own when my warranty expires in 2 years. I think they leak at the bottom where the glass and the plastic gasket meet. Any ideas on how to prevent?
Based upon my experience, I would not recommend MW - ever!

You may contact me regarding any issues with MW Windows. I have a 3 year old house with many of the same issues I've read on this site - rotten wood interior and exterior, peeling and chipping paint, mold/mildew in walls from leak, etc. Our walls are torn out down to studs now to locate leak and we found that the windows are leaking in bottom corners. Does anyone know specific reasons for the leaks? Also, any class action plans?

You reference a 7 year warranty if I'm reading correctly. How did you get anything replaced within 5 years under warranty? I've found it no use to deal with MW corporate - they are covering up the problem and my builder is a joke.
My husband and I just purchased a 1.5 million home 7/31/06 the builder installed MW windows and MW windows LEAK...WE had to move out of a brand new house 9/15/06 for a month to remove the mold in our house...the builder is still trying to fix the house, the windows and much more...after reading the posted comments...this is very disturbing...we will take legal recourse
we also have mw windows in a modular home we just purchased from Pro-built Homes in PA. The home is located in New York state.
We moved in October 2006 and have noticed water/ice build up on windows...contacted company and to-date they have done nothing for us...we are going to have replaced before they do any more damage and then sue Pro-built homes

by any chance is this a modular home...we have mw windows installed and they are junk...Pro-built Homes in Mifflintown, PA was the builder...be aware of this company...they do NOT build the quality product they say they do.
We also have some serious problems with mw windows...we have ice/water build up on them and our contractor [Pro-built Homes, in Mifflintown, PA] have done nothing for us. They keep referring us to MW windows who sends us literaute on Anderson windows and articles on how we have too much moisture in our home. We move in this house in October 2006 and have nothing but problems with the windows. You open them to clean them and they fall right off the track and tons of water poor out of them. It's time to sue both the modular home manufacturer and MW windows.
