I have a plumbing issue. My tolet will not flush. I can plunge it enough to get it to flush but the tub is making a lot of noise when I do that. Have tried liquid plumber in the tub but just caused the toilet not to flush. If the problem is the air vent how do you fix that in the winter when it is minus 30

City sewer or septic tank?
Sounds like you have a plugged drain line.
That's the cheapest thing it could be.
If you have a septic system and the drains not plugged up then it could be a number of things.
Tanks full, distribution box has issues, leach field has failed, ECT.
It's never a good idea to use a drain cleaner. Now someone has to try and unplug the drains with a toxic, caustic liquid in the lines.

Other toilets and sinks draining ok?You can try running hot water in tub.. close sink drain and covering bathtub overflow and have someone plung tub while you do the toilet. Might be able to create enough pressure to push clog thru. A snake may be needed.
