Bvbath
When we had our bathroom remodeled, the contractors failed to reapply insulation on our outside wall with our plumbing. Ever since , our pipes freeze and we have to leave a panel off our new whirlpool tub I. Order to get heat to the pipes. Also they had left to much space around the drain hole and we had a MOLE dig his way directly I to our bathroom. It was so gross!!!! Is there a way to apply insulation without tearing out all the new walls? This has been a disaster since day one. I could go on forever with all the screw-ups on this job. Thanks for any help!!!

#1 Plumbing should not be ran through outside walls.
What type siding? In some cases it can be done from outside.

Spray foam insulation is going to be your best solution to this problem, if the tub is located on a outside wall then it could be possible to remove a small portion of siding and insulate from the outside of the house, that is only if it is not assemble from the inside.
You could try calling a insulation contractor to look at the issue and get more options.
In addition, spray foam will also help to seal the over sized hole around the drain.

I hope this helps,

What did the contractor offer to do to correct his mistakes? With something that extreme and severe, I'd be tempted to get a lawyer involved and have it taken care of professionally and permanently. Anything you do at this point is going to cause an additional expense and patching isn't going to be as effective as having it redone correctly. I've never heard of interior plumbing being run inside of an exterior wall.

I totally agree with all the answers posted. I would also strongly suggest seeking legal advice to see what your options are.
The contractor was either very inexperienced or just doesn't care.
Good luck
