Hi- I had a few questions regarding an old tree that was bumped while doing construction of new home. This tree sits down in a 3 or 4 foot tree well. It was bumped with a bobcat and a couple of large branches were broken. After looking closer at the tree it appears to be hollow in the center. What does that mean? The top of the tree looks very green, and there does not appear to have very many dead branches. I am concerned about the expected lift of this tree. We do not want to plan landscaping around this tree and it die. Any suggestion on how to give it a good boost at this point? What about it being a little hollow in the middle?
Thanks,
Rebecca
