Recently purchased a town house with a yard slope problem. The yard slopes towards the house causing water to run ito the basement. The house is concrete-slab foundation and brick construction.

can someone point me in the way of directions/advice on how to add soil/clay/etc...to increase the slope so water flows away from the house?

i dont think a drain is a good solution since, being a th, there is nowhere to drain the water to other than my neighbors yard.

I had a similar problem in two different situations. One solved by doing just that and making it run in the neighbors lawn which wasn't to nice but it was only temporary. The other time I called a landscaper and they took care of it for me. Cost a bit but no more flooding.
