The tub faucet pipe length seems to be about a 1/4 to a 1/2" too short now after installing a new tub wall. Can I move the whole pipe unit inside the wall & how far should it stick out?

The faucet pipe can be removed from the wall with a pipe wrench or channel lock pliers. Take it to your local home improvement store and see if they have one that is shorter for your needs. Some stores will take a longer new pipe, shorten it and thread it to the desired length.

I need the pipe to stick out of the tub wall further, I do not need it shortened up,.
