I have severe water leaks on my WeatherShield/ProShield casement windows used in my home that was built in 2001. During the first year the builder "repaired" the problem several times. Recently during a rain storm water poured in at the top of the Jam seals on several windows. The local WeatherShield distrbutor is sending out a rep to look over the windows.

Any known mfg defects in WeatherShield/ProShield Windows built in 2001/2002 timeframe?

The windows have a 20 year warranty on materials and workmanship.

Thanks

Rob

Unfortunately, about 95% of all window problems end up being installation related. Even water or air leaks between the sash and the frame are more often than not installation related.

Hopefully the WeatherShield rep will have something positive to tell you, but I am guessing that he is going to tell you that there was an install problem...
