My daughter hung a shower curtain rod and used a flange-type fastener. Unfortunately, she attached the fastener into a pocket door area and now the pocket door will not close. What is the best way to remove this fastener?

The flange type fastener she used was one where you insert it into the wall and "arms" open up to fasten the fastener to the wall. The arms are on the inside of the pocket door.

Hi there
Sounds like your daughter used a toggle bolt.
About the only way to remove it is to pull the bolt tight till the wing catches on the back of wall. Turn the bolt counter clockwise until the wing falls off.
If you have door clearance on the bottom the wing should not cause any problems.
Or you could cut the hole bigger so the wing could come back through the wall. Then patch the hole.
Hope this helps
