I think my contractor put my velux skylight in wrong. I need information on how to finish the window off to make it look good. I am assuming the groove in the window’s bottom face is for drywall to fit in however the groove is lining up 1 inch in from the frame in opening. When drywall will be installed the top groove will be away from any stud and will not be nailed at the top. The only thing holding it will be the groove and the nails from the other side.
I am extremely bummed out and would like to send a picture of the install to get advice on how I can start to enjoy the look of my new velux skylight.
YOU CAN GO TO WWW.VELUX.COM AND DOWNLOAD INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS TO DETERMINE THE RIGHT WAY FOR THE SKYLIGHT TO HAVE BEEN INSTALLED. YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW THE EXACT TYPE OF SKYLIGHT YOU HAVE IN YOUR HOME. THEY MAKE NUMEROUS TYPES OF SKYLIGHTS.
THANKS,
