Not a good product. I am original homeowner since year 2000 and selected Bilt Best windows, choice builder offered. I was told and have documentation at time of purchase windows would be guarantee for 15 years. These windows started failing within 7 years after going through a few rough winters. Double pane windows are now fogged with moisture between window panes, frames are rotting, case windows cranking mechanisms are failing, and there has been quite a bit of warpage. My neighors are having same problems and are either replacing or repair gas seal leaks. Their windows are upgardes with warrantees longer but still have failied. I am highly #%^&:( dissatisfied and cannot reach the company. BBB severalcomplaints on record at its Eastern Missouri & SouthernIllinois BBB site. I wish there was regulations that protect the consumer to make business step up to responsibility for failed products within advertised time frame. If I had defaulted on payment it would be a different story. Now they have my money and are no where to be found. Hope this is not to late.

For the poster in March 2012 -- BiltBest is out of business. This is not uncommon in the window business -- operate until the warranty claims start piling up, then go out of business (and reappear as another firm.) What I learned is that sticking with real brand name manufacturers (Andersen, etc.) is probably your best bet. You can buy cheap windows twice, or good ones once. In my case, I wanted a special vertical divided light sash and only BiltBest offered it.
After 20+ years, I have replaced nearly all of the Bilt Best windows in my house. Now I have some that need replacement - again! But where to go to get matching replacement windows?
Go with Marvin -- of the three, they are the best quality. Make sure whatever window you choose, that they're installed by an experienced window installation professional. Don't DIY.
