Bvwindows
Hello,

I am remodeling a victorian home built in the late 1800's, Window size are 48 x 84 roughly, and very expensive to have made, We came up with the idea of using french doors as windows as they are almost a perfect fit and look outstanding. I am looking for opionions on how to make them open and close. My first guess is to work with crank type hardware and have the window open full length out, and having the screens attached inside the frame ( in side the house)

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I don't see a problem with using french doors as a stationary sash, but I doubt you will be able to find any casement hardware that would be able to support a door that size.
