We bought a house eight months ago and I just noticed that the baseboard near the backdoor is buckling...definite water behind it (doesn't appear to be a lot, as the wall isn't soggy) We haven't had much rain either so I am kind of confused as to where the water might be coming from. We had a little rain but not much. I did refinish the deck that is right outside and ABOVE the door about two months ago. I am wondering whether when i sprayed the deck that water somehow got into the stucco wall and dripped down to the basebaord (maybe where the deck is attached to the wall isn't sealed properly). Do you have any suggestions? I don't even know who I would call with this kind of issue. Should I try to caulk around all of the bolts that attach to the house? Any advice is appreciated.
