I was told by a door salesman that you can't stain the outside of a fiberglass door if you use a storm door. The entry door must be painted instead. Truth or urban legend?
Since I wanted a wood look inside and out, this would apparently mean I can't use fiberglass if true.

Hello, try therma-tru website they (factory) stain their door's. But some company's will not warranty their finish if a storm door is used. Storm door's trap heat between panels causing finish failure.
