We're having several MW jams warping from sun exposure apparently. They have slow to respond. Anyone know of a formal class action suit?

Built the house in 1995. Five years later the window sills were rotting. had to have the brick molding aluminum wrapped at great expense. A few years later, seals were broken in some. Ordered replacement sashes but unfortunately, double hung does not mean ease of getting the top window down. You have to reach under the bottom window to try to pull the top one down. What a disaster. No lip on the top window. Also, the lip to lift the bottom window is different than what is existing. With 8 windows side by side in Florida room, the difference is noticeable. Now have more problem with seals broken and moisture in between the panes of several of the windows. Am livid as want to put house on market and can't sell it with these windows. I would join a class action suit as I am livid with this. My builder assured me these were excellent windows. Hah! Jokes on me and my wallet.

House built new in 1996. Contractor installed Marvin Windows. First window rotted in 2005 and was replaced as "in warranty." Now (2013) several other windows are rotting out and will have to be replaced. Records reflect Marvin and PPG have been in litigation against each other and several class actions have been filed. Marvin reportedly settled with PPG over defective wood preservative and has tried to settle with window owners by offering a discounted purchase price. Owner purchases new window and has to pay contractor to install. Very unsatisfactory procedure. DO NOT BUY MARVIN WINDOWS!!

Our house was built in 1997. We purchased in 2004. The windows have been rotting over the last 2 years so we are glad we found this forum. Has anyone had any luck getting GOOD replacements? Pella is also in a lot of trouble. It certainly is an expensive job to replace all of the windows only to have the same thing happen in a few years. Please advise.
On another note--do we need to be concerned about the fact that they are black?? Could this be mold?
