Bvwindows
We have 14 Semco wood sliding windows - installed 1994 - and they have worked well, however we don't have severe weather to really put them to a test. The only problem we have is they are rather hard to open and close. I'm reluctant to put any kind of lube or oil on them. What can I put on the glides to make them slide easier?

Thanks,

Mike

you could try adding small wheels to the bottom?

Those doors have worked for you for almost 2 decades, it is a wonder that they are still in pretty good shape. I think there is not much else you can do to make it glide smoother other than lubricants or some form of spray. If you can take them down, you might have a chance of checking for rust.
