My 5 year old is starting kindergarten in sept.Are there any places that i can get plans to build him something to shelter him while waiting for the bus.Thanks,

Most all of your hardware stores have something.. I know you don't want a shead, but try the larger ones like Home Depot. Also you can try this sight or Sometimes they give you the plans including material so you can build it yourself. Which ever route you take, there should be someone to help you here.

The most recent issue of Today's Homeowner has some Backyard sheds. You could make minor modifications to some of those to create something for your child. We've developed rough plans for our neighborhood that have a shed roof with a generous overhang at the front -- and modest ones on the side, 4x4's for posts, covered back, half wall on the bottoms of the sides of the building -- a concrete pad on the bottom, a seat at the back, and trash can attached at one side. Ours will be fairly large to accomodate about 10 children. If we've left something out of our plans, please let me know.
