I would like to know what amounts others may charge for doing this type of service and would 10% of the selling amount would work as a fee for this service ? (100K = $100 at 1/10 percent)

I would like to hear from others in this area for I am in OKC (okla-city)...

Hi Artie73118,

I'm not sure where you're headed w/your question but all I can say is that the Inspection Fee can be charged in a number of different ways.

One is a flat fee, no matter what the price of the house is. Another is BASED on the the asking price of the house. And yet another is on a per-hour basis.

The important thing to do in MY mind is to hire an Inspector that has the PROPER background for this type of work. Former builders and General Contractors are some of the better 'qualified' Inspectors. Engineers make decent ones too, so the best thing to do is ASK for some proof about their background. An ASHI-Approved is a good place to start.

My best to ya and hope this helps.

Why not just call some in your area (from the yellow pages) and ask then what they charge? I'm sure they'll tell you.
