Somebody put adhesive caulk around a bathtub. I'd like to remove it, but have found that's easier said than done. Looking for advice on how to accomplish the task. The tub is the fiberglass type and has a plastic shower "surround". The caulk is on thick. Ideas?

Hi rpxlpx,
Carpenters would not be happy with this one but I have used a 3/4" wood chisel to remove caulk with success.Keep the beveled edge up and you won't damage the tub.

Just in case you are still struggling with the tub sealer..... There is a product which is supposed to remove Silicon caulking. If I remember correctly it's made by Dow Corning. It comes in a small jar and is brushed on. It's not a miracle worker but it does in fact soften the silicon and enables easier removal. Good Luck - hope I'm not too late.
