I do not have a sprayer for texturizing a new room. I thought I saw something about taking joing compound and watering it down to the consistancy of paint and then us a roller. If this is how it works I was wondering about material. What nap on the roller? How do you get the corners because rollers don't go in corners very good. Is there a mixture ratio?

Take a look at "Textured Paint" in Lowes/Home Depot etc. It can be applied surprisingly thick very easily. Dries very slowly so you have many hours to "play" with the finish. Special patterned rollers are available or just use a standard roller (Rough/medium). I usually apply upto the corners, ceiling and baseboard and then run a 1" scaper down the corners etc to create a 1" untextured border all around the wall.

Good luck. Hope this works for you.
