repairing an older craftsman snowthrower

I'm repairing the gear box on a Model # 536.886540. Does anyone out there know if the gear case for the worm gear should filled with white lithium grease or other? I'm also looking for a manual for same.

Happen to have the manual in front of me.

Evry 10 hours "Lubricate the auger shaft. Coat with a clinging type grease such as Lubriplate or fiber impregnated grease"

Suppose you could do the same inside.
