I hope someone can help me. Our contractor is gathering all the necesities to apply for our building permit to start our house. He has never built a house in our area before, and is amazed at all the red tape!!

One thing that none of us knows what it is, is a "white slip" that we need to obtain from the water district. We can't get the building permit with out it, and we have to get it - us, the owner - not the contractor. We hope to get it this week. The water district was very vague in eplaining this, so if anyone has any clue what this white slip says/does we'd appreciate it!!!

Never heard of it. But if I were you, I'd go back to the water district and ask them to supply you with an "example" of what they're looking for.
