I'm currently refitting my bathroom and am considering my options for an extractor fan. I am looking for a unit which freshens air and reduces steam in the bathroom but, does not waste energy by expelling large amounts of warmth into the environment. I wish to ultilise this energy somehow. If you are aware of any existing products, or have any ideas please let me know.

Good luck, the whole principle of fans is to exhaust the humid air and by removing it, with it is heat, it brings in "fresh air" from other parts of the house through the door.

Put a timer switch on the fan so it shuts off after however many minutes you want it on. That way you won't have to remember and go back into the room later to turn it off.
