What is the best way to hang lighted garland around my front door? I thought about using staples but I am a renter and didnt want to do any damage

why not velcro stripping. stick one to facing, cut the other long enough to go over or around your garland.

What about the hooks that stick to the wall. I think 3M makes the one that has a way of getting it off at the end of Christmas so you don't ruin walls or other surfaces. I don't know if they would work in the cold, wood, or vinyl.

Good luck,

Would one of these work for you?

It's an over-the-door hook that requires no sticky tape, nails, glue or anything.

If it's not low enough, you could always attach a piece of fishing line [it's clear and invisible] to the wreath and hang the other end over the hook.
