I am at the end of building an oak bar with a copper top. I am trying to figure out how to put the swirls in the copper as a design. I am concerned about using a steel wire push and the potential long term effects of some of the steel is left embeded in the copper from brushing it. What are the best ways to put swirls in my copper bar top and what clear coat finish can I use?
