Our masterbath only has a shower and the surround inside of the shower is coming off of the wall. My husband thinks we cannot fit a new shower surround through the bathroom door so he wants to tile the wall inside the shower. I want to make sure this will work and if it is our only option. The door for the surround doesn't open easily so is there a way to just buy a new door and tile the wall? Help. Thanks.

- Need to replace shower surround
I have tile in my shower. The mold in the grout is impossible to remove completely. We are planning a shower lining soon.
You can buy all kinds of surrounds to fit through doors. Some are solid panels (one per wall) that have joints in the corners. Some are thin enough to flex.
Frankly I would think that it would be cheaper to have someone glue up a fiberglass panel than to install a wall of tiles.
