Can anyone tell me how to remove rust on silverware? My diswasher has actually been making all metal things (knifes, bowls etc) rust. Can I add anything to my washer that will make it not rust? Is it the water?
Please help!

does anything else in the house seem to rust? like in the bath/shower? kitchen sink etc.?
i would think if it were a water issue, other rust areas would be noticed in any other 'water dispensing' area.
if it isn't a water issue, maybe something in the machine is breaking down, or the type of soap is reacting with the water or something in the machine?
