I'm installing a laundry room in my basement and need to run the dryer venting across the basement ceiling for 25 feet and out the side exterior wall. I am using 4" metal ducting. Does anyone know if 25 feet is too long of a run for proper air flow?

Thanks.

I believe it is too long. As innocuous as it seems, you need to take care with dryer venting. Lint buildup can be a fire hazard!

Isn't there an outside wall that's nearby?
