Hi. Does anyone know of a website or something that can tell me what supplies I need to build something?

I called Lowe's and ********** and they said the no longer have their CAD program.

What I would like to do is input the information such as the dimensions, roofing, siding, 2 doors, etc. and have a printout of what materials will be needed and how many of each.

Is there a place I can find this out?

Thanks

Hi,

I use a program called "CutList Plus" that basically does what you're asking for. The only drawback is that part of the program is treated like a database of available materials, meaning you need to enter yourself the various types of sheet goods and lumber you use most often before you can get the program to provide a cut list. But you only have to do this once. Check out their website--that should give a better explanation of what I mean. . .

Thank you for the information. I will check out the site and look at the program.

Do you have a construction calculator? They're excellent for inputting information and converting the results based on your project. . .for example, you can input the area of a countertop, press another button and have the calculator tell you how many tiles you would need.

Hope this makes sense! And, forgive me if you're already familiar with these calculators.

No, I don't have a construction calculator. Sounds like it would be a pretty handy tool. I checked out the website and downloaded the program tryout but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

Thanks,

Teresa
