OKKIDD - hi, where's the sound coming from - the actual opener, the door tracks, or ??? The first thought is the bearings for the drive sprocket on the GDO itself are probably failing. Just like wheel bearings on a car, they need periodic lubrication or they'll go bad. Otherwise, if your system is a chain drive, maybe the chain's rubbing against something up in the chain track area. And, the wheels in the door tracks have bearings which can go bad and start grinding. These are some starting points for you to check...depending on what you find, you'll have to then decide if it's worth the repair costs or not. Good luck! Jim D/West Point, VA
