Hi , I have a 100 yr old coloinal home two stories , 11 rooms ,my problem is dust , its everywhere,I have steamheat plusbackup wood stove , the problem is the worst in the kitchen , I have a drop ceiling in there , plastor ceilings everwhere else , does anyone have any suggestions

as how to cut down on the dust or at least control it .thanks I'm lost ,

Hi. Ihad simmilar probs....but I find most of the dust from the floor or carpeting is sucked back into the vents esp. when heating or airconditioning is turned on. To bigin with vacum thoroughly, then dust everything, (try to keep things within boxes or in cabinets),and finally vacum again. Do this twice a week or atleast once a week. Also steam or humidifiers attract a lot of only humidify the rooms you use. Any room which is not used regularly and thus not cleaned as ophen will have dust in the floors and carpeting which will circulate the house through vents.
