I want to add a new Direct TV receiver to a finished basement. The room has two connections for the coax cable out to the disk. The problem is the coax cable near TV must be damaged in the wall. The short term solution was to run a coax cable across my finished basement. Work fine but who wants a cable across the floor. I did not wan the installers to drill any more holes.

Is there such a thing as a wireless coax for this application? I think this is different than the wireless video box the companies like Terk make.

Thanks

Tom

I don't think wireless will for this. The receiver actually puts voltage to the dish though the cable.
