Ok guys I have a rather weird question. I saw a sofa a wish to buy however it is 84x36x36. My back patio door is slightly over 32". If I attempt to bring the sofa in by tilting it a bit would it fit through the doorway? Is there a way to forget this out? Please help!

Wow, interesting question. Of course I can't offer professional advice (even though I've moved more times in my life than I care to admit)! But what the heck, I tried a couple of searches! And being that it's "my forum" (LOL!), I thought I'd chime in anyway!

Here are some links I found; the results are mixed but seem to lean more to "can" rather than "can't"

Good luck! Let us know how you make out :)

Hi again RJ,

Glad to hear that folks are generally optomistic about this all-too-common situation!

I must say, I got a kick out of that ericmattes story--very well documented! (I guess) worth it! I wonder if the couch will end up just "staying behind" if they move on!

I like that idea of pulling the door off; that's an easy way to gain some space right there.

Any chance of returning the sofa for refund if it doesn't go through the opening? (Not that you'd want to go through all this much trouble--to find out it doesn't fit!)

Anyway, good luck! PLease let us know!

Regards,
