dirty tv screen

i have a big screen tv with a sort of circular textured screen. The screen has gotten very dirty and grimy and when i try to clean it, it seems to make it worse.Any advice????

I had one to but if you have a plastic cover you spray a ammonia free window spray on it with a paper towl.

do you mean to spray directly on the texturd screen? thats all there is, nothing covering it
