Is it true that a gas stove running on propane fuel is not as efficient as one running on natural gas? if so, is it significantly so? Is there any way around this? I currently have an electric stove and prefer a gas stove, however only have access to propane in my neighborhood.

Thanks,

Propane is more expensive than natural gas, per BTU, but unless you are cooking professionally day and night, you won't notice much difference between gas or propane. When you buy the appliance, be sure to tell them to convert/set it up for the fuel of your choic. Propane is under pressure so it uses smaller orfices.

Excellence is its own reward!
