I want to add 2 whole house quiet attic fans. However, I need to install more inflow vents before I do this. (Mine inflow is lacking)
I have roof vents for outflow but I was wondering if adding gable vents would help remove the hot air that will go into the attic from the house fans?

It's kind of amazing how much air a "whole house" fan will move.
It is great to think about the "downstream" effect; i.e., how much roof venting there is...but you need to be sure you also have enough "upstream" (ie., open doors and windows).
Otherwise the fan will suck air down chimneys, heating ventilation, water heater vents, etc.
