HELP! We have had a leak problem occur when rain hits the front of our home. Out brick home was tuckpointed last year We silicone caulked the double picture windows in addition to the plastic brick facade between the windows. Using a hose we blasted the front face of the house with water - no leaks. Yesterday it rained against the front of the house and windows, resulting in water leaking above the bottom picture window on the inside of the house. Soffits, gutters and downspouts are new. Roof has been checked. This leak only occurs when rain hits the front of the house. HOW DO WE FIND THE LEAK? I have tried to find a thermal imaging company that does residential work in Chicago, Illinois but to no avail. PLEASE HELP!!

Sources of water infiltration are notoriously difficult to find. As my wife likes to say, "water finds a way!"

That said, check your flashing above the window (on the outside, of course).

And it could be coming from elsewhere - including the roof, and needless to say, check for clogged gutters....good luck.
