I rent my home. I do not have the extra earnings right now to call someone. Birds have built a nest and I can hear them all in my walls downstairs. I hear them walking around in the vent and at times it really sounds like they are stuck in my walls. I DO NOT HAVE ANYONE TO HELP ME ......WHAT CAN DO ON MY OWN?

ANY SAFE SUGGESTIONS? I do not want them die in my walls and them I have to remove the interior to get them out. PLEASE PLEASE HELP

I am not sure, but this is the landlords problem. He/she will have to make the repairs. This hasn't been caused by you unless you removed the vent cover outside. I think if falls under pest control. If the place had rats and you were a clean person, I believe they would have to erraticate them.

unfortnately, a bird may die pretty quickly thrashing around in the wall. The landlord is going to want to know where the noise was heard so he/she can remove the remains before the building starts to stink.

I would start with the landlord.
