My house was built in 1979. Windows are wood with thin formed aluminium channels. Each window has a spring on either side buried in the aluminium chanelling. The spring is hooked to the channeling at the top and a little red gizmo resembling a butterfly is clipped to the spring and then slips into a recess in the bottom of the window. Many of these red gizmos are broken so the window springs are useless. Where can I obtain new gizmos or pls suggest method on how to secure spring to window.
