I am looking to lay a concrete patio and enclose it for my dogs. I have someone to do the fence work but I am getting outragious estimates for the concrete patio work. I would love to do this myself but have no idea where to start or what to do. Patio size would need to be 21' by 10'. Please help.

Well.. You would need to excavate about 8 to 10 inches down, install a subbase(stone) atleast 4 inches, compact that, frame out your patio, install a reinforcement (wire mesh)at about half slab thickness, calculate cuyd. of concrete(at least 4 inches thick),have it delivered, rake it in, finish it with a float, grove the expansion joints, apply a curing compound,or cover it with plastic. Hows that for a sentance. It really is a lot of work to make a long lasting slab, hence the price. It can be done by yourself, but expect to pay for the money savings in sweat.
cuyd calc. is LxWxD then divide by 27
