I have 3 cabinets that are 72 inches long and I have them lined up between 2 walls. But the fit is so tight that one door does not open and it looks like they are ready to bust.

Does any one have and idea of the fix this?

Thanks

Hi Delamar,

I'm not totally sure I'm understanding the problem 100%.

But usually you order cabinets a bit smaller than you need, then use shims and trim pieces. Even if you measure such that the cabinets would fit perfectly in front, they might be too big near the wall (or vice versa). (Not that this information does you all that much good NOW!)

Depending on how your cabinets are constructed, you might be able to plane some off the edges to get them to fit. I'd start with the edges by the walls--as any mistakes on adjoining cabinets might be more visible. But if the fit is that tight, it might come down to that.

And it might help if you could be more descriptive...even put in a URL to a picture of them.

For future reference, this forum (Accessibility) is typically handicapped-related posts and it might not be frequented by many carpenters, etc. You might try posting in a more appropriate forum.

Regards,
