I'm moving into a rent house. The home is older & it appears the countertops have been painted with a high gloss paint. They ar UGLY! Nedless to say, the owner isn't springing for new counters, but has given me the go ahead to do something myself. Is there anything suitable to put over them? Even if I have to paint them, what type paint should I use? When I had my own house, we remodled a bathroom & I used Fleckstone on the existing countertops...it worked great. I know the kitchen countertops go through alot more wear & tear, so I'm not sure that would be the best choice for these.
