We have an 80 year-old house with what I think is 80 years worth of hand dirt and grime on the bannister. We only notice it when it is humid, but it is disgusting to touch. I want to strip and refinish it. It is stained with a polyurethane finish on it, I think, and I want to restain it. HOW to do??
