I'm installing pine shiplap panelling in my basement vertically. Right now it is a cool and dry space. Should I be butting these panels up against each other tightly or should I be leaving an expansion space between each panel? I'm nailing and cementing each panel to drywall and studs when I can but not to each other. Thanks.
