nearly all the new aplliances will be GE and the color will be bisque. however, the dishwasher will be a Maytag in bisque. can we expect the two manufacturers to have a very close match with the color bisque? is there some standard?

Hi Fish,
I believe bisque replaces almond color,at least that is what I was told when I tried to order an almond refrigerator. There is allot that the manufacturers/designers go through when deciding on appliance colors. You should have no problem with two different manufacturers colors.

There is no guarantee the colors will be the same, although they will probably be similar. It probably will not be noticeable, even if the colors are very different tones, because they will be divided by cabinets and such. If you need to have an exact match, then you should look into it, perhaps by taking a small piece off of one (the dishwasher handle or front cover plate) and bringing it to the store which has the other appliance.
