We have a GE Gas Range with electronic Ignition that Randomly Sparks when the burners are in the off position. Sometimes it lasts for 5-10 seconds, sometimes minutes. Nothing we tried can get it to stop.

Is there an easy fix or way to troubleshoot?

Thanks,
Alex

Might be a late post here. Do you live in a high humidity area?? Spark ignition works with a spark to ground. High humidity can cause this. Also if stove is older there might have been a spill that has gotten into the switches behind the knobs and control panel

We live in So Cal near the beach, so it's often humid. Is there any way to fix it (aside from moving to Arizona)?

Thanks!

You might try replacing the spark module. All stoves have a different location for this. I'm not sure if I can do this but try going to ***** .com and looking in the parts section Go for the pictures not the list when searching for the spark module
