I have a range hood in my new house that doesn't work. It's old enough that I think it should just be replaced. Any suggestions? Can I handle this job myself?

If it is NOT vented to the outside, it will be pretty straight forward. If vented to outside (preferred), may be a bit more difficult but you should be able to do it OK. Check your new model to get the most for your money. Cheap ones are noisey (sones in range above 4). Better ones make less noise while moving lots of air (CFM)
