Is there a secret procedure for replacing a motor on a Kenmore dryer ?

Approx 10 yrs old.... model #110.97281100,
trying to guide my brother (long distance)over the phone.

He has the new motor... Guided him thru the release of the spring steel clips (pulley side and blower side)

He is telling me the motor will not release from the back (blower end)

Is there a trick to this seemingly simple problem?

Has he removed the blower fan? If not, that'll have to be done before the motor will come out.

BTW. Blowers are usually screwed on with a left-hand thread. The following image might help with that:
