The jenn air has some nice features, and is made by Maytag now. There are some other high end models, but I have heard repairs on them are frequent and expensive.

What I like about the jenn air is the interchangeable modules, you can have a gril/griddle, or standard burners on the left side, or burners on both sides. THe oven has options like drying and bread proofing, so if your into dried fruits and making bread its a nice range.

I just went through this. Looked at pretty much everything. Most can be had for $1500-$2000. Standard, residential stuff. Kitchenaid has a professional model that's around $3k that looks good, but I ended up with the Thermador dual-fuel pro model. Cost around $4k. A lot of money for a freakin range, but I enjoy cooking, and love hi-qual stuff. Won't be installed for another month or so, so I don't have a report for you on how I like it.
