I bought a kenmore dishwasher from ***** approx 15 months ago. It quit working. I took it apart and found a burnt spot on the circuit board. I ordered a new 125 dollar circuit board and installed it. It burnt in the same spot instantly. I payed a little over 400 dollars new. Do I just cut my losses and buy the cheapest dishwasher I can find, since they only last about a year anyway. Nothin seems to be made as good as it used to be.

If you don't find and correct any underlying problems, it may not be unreasonable to assume the condition is still present when the replacement part was installed.
You should always try to find the cause and not just attack the symptom (burnt circuit board).

If you can't isolate the underlying cause of the failure, I would suggest you have the factory authorized service depot look into it for you. There is no dishwasher on the market nowadays which should only last (meaning its whole life span) one year.
