We are replacing our peninsula cooktop with a new gas cooktop, and we want to get rid of the cabinets and range hood above for a more open look. The style of base cabinets I like has pull-out drawers underneath the cooktop. Are these compatible with a telescoping downdraft vent? Also, the ductwork to the outside would have to go through the oven cabinet. Is this possible?
